The Storm Prediction Center has expanded the area with enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening to include southwest Indiana and western Kentucky. This is an upgrade form the slight risk western Kentucky was under earlier Friday.
Damaging wind gusts are very likely. Some hail is possible and a very small chance of a tornado activity.
This system is expected to move into western Kentucky late this afternoon and evening.
Daviess County Emergency Management Agency Director Andy Ball said strong winds are possible as his office has already received wind damage reports from storms out of this system around St. Louis.
