In a news release sent Monday morning, Owensboro Police Department has identified the victim of the early Sunday morning shooting as 25-year-old Nick Decker of Owensboro.
At approximately 12:11 a.m. on Sunday, OPD responded to the 1500 Block of West 9th Street on a report of a shooting where an adult male victim was located with a single gunshot wound deceased at the scene.
According to OPD Public Information Officer Andrew Boggess, it is too early in the investigation to determine if it is related to other area shootings.
