Owensboro Police Department has confirmed that the body of 70-year-old Joe Welsh was located Wednesday on the edge of the Ohio River. OPD was unable to confirm cause of death or release any other details regarding the incident.

The Owensboro Police Department needs your assistance in attempting to locate a missing adult.
Joe Welsh, a 70-year-old white male, that is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 206 pounds, was last seen on June 23, at Fern Terrace Assisted Living Facility.
Welsh suffers from schizophrenia and delusions and is believed to have walked away from Fern Terrace on his own.
