The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office has charged 32-year-old Sean Graham of Owensboro with the March 28 burglary of Apollo High School.

Graham was arrested by Owensboro Police Department on March 31 in relation to a burglary in the 3600 Block of Treehaven Bend. The OPD Criminal Investigations Division connected Graham to six more burglaries. Additional charges included possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled substance.

It was OPD’s investigation that turned up evidence connecting Graham to the Apollo High School burglary.

“We went back through evidence with OPD and Detective Phil Walling,” said DCSO detective Brad Youngman. “The clothes he was wearing during the burglary at Apollo were located by OPD in his belongings.”

On Thursday, DCSO served Graham the warrant for first degree burglary at the Daviess County Detention Center.

Youngman said although Graham only stole two water bottles from Apollo, he was charged with first degree burglary because he was wielding a retractable baton, which is considered a weapon under Kentucky law.
