Tickets are now on sale for the fifth annual Back Woods Ball: Going to the Pour House fundraiser to benefit the Western Kentucky Botanical Gardens.

This year’s event will be held at O.Z. Tyler Distillery on Sept. 20 starting at 6 p.m.

“Back Woods Ball is a fun night that is country casual with a touch of high-ed flair,” said Laurna Strehl, manager of Western Kentucky Botanical Garden. “Moving to O.Z. Tyler Distillery enhances the event by offering air condition and the absolutely perfect pairing of their rustic environment.”

The event will feature live music by Lanham Brothers Jamboree, and Moonlite Bar-B-Q catering will offer back wood gourmet food that is not on the restaurant’s normal menu, including shrimp and grits, frog legs and bourbon-glazed baby back ribs.

Strehl said the silent auction will offer unique items such as a bottle of Pappy VanWinkle, a Bill Kolock sculpture, Cuban cigars and a two-night stay at the WeatherBerry Air BNB.

“The night has something for everyone,” Strehl said, adding there will also be a cake walk, live auction and bourbon tastings.

Over 300 people usually attend the ball which is one of the gardens largest fundraisers.

A cash bar will be available.

All proceeds support the garden with ongoing and future projects.

Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at Moonlite Bar-B-Q, The Miller House, WKBG, calling the garden at 270-993-1234 or here.

O.Z. Tyler Distillery is located at 10 Distillery Rd.
