UPDATE: HWY 431 reopens after semi overturns

Update – Friday 12:05 a.m.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports this accident is cleared and all lanes have reopened.


Update – 8:11 p.m.

Daviess County 911 Dispatch reports a SEMI crash blocking U.S. 431 in southern Daviess County.

U.S. 431 is blocked near the 2 mile marker between Mill Street and KY 140 in the Utica community.

The semi was hauling cars.

Estimated duration is four hours.

KYTC personnel are en route to assist other responding agencies with setting up a temporary detour.


DEVELOPING:
Highway 431 near Harmons Ferry Road is expected to be closed for 2-3 hours after a semi overturned. According to authorities, the driver was not injured in the crash.

The truck rolled over onto a vehicle it was hauling.

Owensboro-Daviess County Central Dispatch requests that semis use either Highway 81 or Highway 231 until the road reopens.
