The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and the Daviess County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the death of an Owensboro man who was found dead in a grassy area behind a residence last weekend. According to DCSO, investigators do not believe the victim’s death was the result of foul play.
Evan King, 27, of Owensboro, was found dead in the 7400 block of Saur Road Friday night. An autopsy to determine the cause of death was scheduled for Saturday.
Coroner Jeff Jones said the official cause of King’s death will be determined once a toxicology report has been submitted.
“The official autopsy report is pending toxicology reports at this time,” Jones said.
DCSO Chief Deputy Major Barry Smith said all indications have revealed that no suspicious activity took place at the scene of King’s death.
“We found no signs of physical trauma to the body, or anything like that,” he said.
