According to Owensboro Police Department, Demar’tez Thruston was arrested in Louisville over the weekend for the March 12 shooting death of Hopkinsville, Ky. native Kevin D. White.
Louisville Metro Police Department arrested Thruston, 18, of Owensboro on Sunday. He is being transported back to Daviess County to appear it court.
A Daviess County Grand Jury indicted Thruston for murder on May 1. Talen M. Johnson, 18, of Owensboro, was also indicted for White’s murder on June 6 and was indicted in a separate first degree burglary charge.
The shooting occurred at 1017 W. 8th St. on the night of March 12.
