The Daviess County Clerk’s Office will hold absentee voting starting Friday ahead of Election Day.

On Saturday, Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., registered voters can also cast ballots in Room 107 of the Courthouse, 212 Saint Ann Street. Absentee Voting will also continue on Monday, Nov. 4 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

To be qualified to vote by in-person absentee ballot, you must be:

Out of the county on election day
Advanced in age, disabled, or ill
Military personnel confined to base and learn of your confinement within seven days or less of an election
Student or resident who temporarily resides outside of the county
Voter or the spouse of a voter who has surgery scheduled that will require hospitalization on Election Day
Pregnant woman in third trimester

If a voter has a medical emergency, he or she may request an absentee paper ballot be issued following the county clerk’s receipt of the notarized form SBE 45, Medical Emergency Application for an Absentee Ballot, and must apply within fourteen (14) days or less of an election. Each may request that a mail-in ballot be mailed to the in-county or out-of-county address.

If a person qualifies for this, they can contact the County Clerk’s office and we will assist them.
