Officials confirm a female was struck by a vehicle on Thursday. The accident occurred in the 1600 block of U.S. 60, formerly known as the U.S. 60 bypass. The pedestrian had pulled their vehicle over on the bypass to determine if a collision had occurred. After her conversation with the driver of another vehicle, she attempted to walk back across the bypass when a Nissan struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
