Fairy Dust Entertainment has gained local popularity over the past five years for offering realistic live characters for children’s parties and events. Fairy Dust is hosting a special pajama party celebration Saturday, where children will have the opportunity to get “Lost in the Woods” with a trio of ice characters.

The event will take place at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum in the Independence Bank Event Room on the third floor. With the addition of more than 25 donated Christmas trees and the assistance of The Event Kode, the room will be transformed into a wintry enchanted forest for the day.

Fairy Dust owner and performer Jessica Barr said she is excited to once again be hosting character-inspired events in the community.

“I chose to take a break from hosting events in 2019, to focus more on my company’s brand and quality of service and client experience,” Barr said. “We advertised that we were hiring and reached out to some amazing talent, locally and even from Evansville and Washington, Ind., and it all fell into place so quickly.”

Children and their parents will have an opportunity to participate in a dance party, yoga instruction, fashion show and realistic snowball fight. These activities will be offered during two different time frames including a session from 9-11 a.m. and another from 1-3 p.m.

“We’re all on the same page and reaching for the same goal,” Barr said. “Knowing how to engage with children of all kinds — shy, non-verbal, hearing impaired and (those with) Down syndrome — to give them a truly unique and magical experience.”

The cost of tickets is $10 for adults and children over the age of one year. Independence Bank Little Patriot Savings Account holders receive free admission with the purchase of one adult ticket. Tickets can be purchased on the Fairy Dust website.
