Book and Music Exchange announced on Facebook in December they would be closing the Frederica Street location after nearly 50 years in business. Their last day in business is Feb. 23.
The other Owensboro location, Money Tree at 1421 Triplett Street, will remain open.
The family began opening stores in 1971.
