The Friday After 5 Board of Directors announced Monday they have named Starr Nalley as Interim Executive Director.

Board Chair, Jay Velotta said she joined the FA5 volunteer team two years ago.

“I’m so happy to step into this role,” Nalley said. “I joined Friday After 5 in 2018 as a volunteer
because of my passion for music, the community and the Riverfront. I appreciate the importance of
this challenging role and am anxious to take Friday After 5 to a new level.”

Nalley became the Social Media Director her first year as a volunteer and quickly became involved in many aspects of the organization. She is a member of the marketing, sponsorship and producers committees.

“I loved working with the Friday After 5 team. I really enjoy it and when you can give back to the community at the same time, it is the right place for me,” Nalley said.

“We named her as Interim Executive Director to give both the board and Starr enough time to make sure that it was a good fit for both of us,” Velotta said. “We’re confident based on her work ethic and passion for Friday After 5 that she will fill this position permanently in the near future.”

Nalley said  she thinks the 24th season will be the best yet, and she is already working on some special ideas for the 25th anniversary in 2021.

Nalley is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Kentucky Association of Realtors, Greater Owensboro Realtor Association and is a KW ELITE REALTOR® with THE HARRIS JARBOE GROUP.

The 16 week season begins May 22 and continues through Labor Day weekend ending
Sept. 4.
