Henderson patient first confirmed COVID-19 case in tri-state

The first confirmed case of COVID-19 in the tri-state is a Henderson patient, as announced Thursday morning by Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. 

In a release, Deaconess said the patient was sent for curbside testing at Deaconess Midtown from one of their outpatient facilities in Henderson. Both Indiana & Kentucky health departments have been notified.

Officials said the patient has been contacted and is doing well on home quarantine.

Deaconess said they have also received several negative results in the past 12 hours.
