1 new COVID-19 case, 6 more recoveries announced

One new case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Daviess County on Monday, while six more patients are reported to have recovered in the Green River District.

Of the 130 total coronavirus cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 61 have recovered. There are 10 patients currently hospitalized, and there have been four deaths — three in Daviess County and one in McLean County.

The county totals are:

  • Daviess County – 82 cases, 42 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 13 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Hancock County – 2 cases, 2 recovered
  • Henderson County – 23 cases, 10 recovered, 2 hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized
  • McLean County – 5 cases, 2 recovered, 1 hospitalization, 2 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 8 cases, 2 recovered, 2 hospitalizations, 5 ever hospitalized
  • Union County – 3 cases, 2 recovered
  • Webster County – 7 cases, 1 recovered, 1 hospitalization, 2 ever hospitalized

Patients range in age from 18-92, with an average age of 50. To date, 58.5% of patients have been female and 41.5% have been male. Cases by age range are:

  • 1-19 — 3 cases
  • 20-29 — 15 cases
  • 30-39 — 17 cases
  • 40-49 — 29 cases
  • 50-59 — 26 cases
  • 60-69 — 25 cases
  • 70-79 — 10 cases
  • 80+ — 5 cases

Cases are expected to continue to rise as testing capacity increases in the area and across the state.
