Eight new cases of COVID-19 were announced in Daviess County on Tuesday morning, as were three more cases in Ohio County and one each in Henderson and Union counties.
Of the 143 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 68 (48%) have now recovered and 28 (20%) have required hospitalization.
There are eight patients currently hospitalized, and there have been four deaths — three in Daviess County and one in McLean County.
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 90 cases, 46 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 13 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
- Hancock County – 2 cases, 2 recovered
- Henderson County – 24 cases, 12 recovered, 2 hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized
- McLean County – 5 cases, 2 recovered, 1 hospitalization, 2 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 11 cases, 3 recovered, 2 hospitalizations, 5 ever hospitalized
- Union County – 4 cases, 2 recovered
- Webster County – 7 cases, 1 recovered, 1 hospitalization, 2 ever hospitalized
Patients range in age from 18-92, with an average age of 49. To date, 57.3% of patients have been female and 42.7% have been male. Cases by age range are:
- 1-19 — 4 cases
- 20-29 — 17 cases
- 30-39 — 22 cases
- 40-49 — 31 cases
- 50-59 — 27 cases
- 60-69 — 25 cases
- 70-79 — 10 cases
- 80+ — 7 cases
Cases are expected to continue to rise as testing capacity increases in the area and across the state.
