14 new COVID-19 cases in area; 38 now recovered

Eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Daviess County on Wednesday, and one new case each in McLean, Ohio and Henderson counties were also announced. Of the 115 total cases now announced in the Green River District, 38 total patients have recovered.

The Green River District Health Department also announced three new cases in Webster County.

Currently 10 people in the seven-county district are hospitalized.

The county totals are:

  • Daviess County – 71 cases, 30 recovered, 4 hospitalizations, 1 death
  • Hancock County – 2 cases, 1 recovered
  • Henderson County – 21 cases, 6 recovered, 2 hospitalizations 
  • McLean County – 5 cases, 1 hospitalization, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 7 cases, 3 hospitalizations
  • Union County – 3 cases, 1 recovered
  • Webster County – 6 cases 

Patients range in age from 18-85, with an average age of 50. To date, 58.3% of patients have been female and 41.7% have been male. Cases by age range are:

  • 1-19 — 2 cases
  • 20-29 — 14 cases
  • 30-39 — 14 cases
  • 40-49 — 25 cases
  • 50-59 — 23 cases
  • 60-69 — 24 cases
  • 70-79 — 9 cases
  • 80+ — 4 cases

Cases are expected to continue to rise as testing capacity increases in the area and across the state.
