Three additional cases of COVID-19 and two more recoveries were announced Monday morning for the Green River District. One new case each was reported in Daviess, McLean and Webster counties. Both recoveries were in Daviess County.
Of the 307 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 142 (46%) have now recovered and 45 (15%) have required hospitalization. There are 16 patients currently hospitalized, and there have been five deaths — three in Daviess County and one each in McLean and Henderson counties.
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 162 cases, 82 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 19 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
- Hancock County – 6 cases, 5 recovered
- Henderson County – 58 cases, 27 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 14 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- McLean County – 11 cases, 4 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 2 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 40 cases, 11 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 5 ever hospitalized
- Union County – 7 cases, 3 recovered
- Webster County – 23 cases, 10 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 5 ever hospitalized
Patients range in age from 11-93, with an average age of 45. To date, 54.4% of patients have been male and 45.6% have been female. Cases by age range are:
- 1-11 — 1 case
- 12-19 — 13 cases
- 20-29 — 51 cases
- 30-39 — 60 cases
- 40-49 — 69 cases
- 50-59 — 50 cases
- 60-69 — 34 cases
- 70-79 — 15 cases
- 80+ — 14 cases
Cases are expected to continue to rise as testing capacity increases in the area and across the state. The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
