Owensboro Police Department responded to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital at approximately 7:26 a.m. Tuesday morning for an individual with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg, according to a police report.
The individual was identified as Marcus A. Schwoeppe, 29, of Owensboro. According to the report, the incident is believed to have occurred on Lancaster Avenue.
Detectives responded and are currently investigating. Anyone with any information about the incident is encouraged to call the OPD at 270-687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.
