Owensboro’s 2020 PorchFest is being postponed to a later date due to COVID-19, as announced Sunday night on the event’s Facebook page. The free community event was scheduled for June 13.
“The safety of our community, bands, homeowners and volunteers is our absolute priority,” the post reads. “The decision was not taken lightly. We are diligently working to secure a fall date.”
Event co-founder Tamarra Miller previously said they were expecting to have 45 acts participate on 15 porches this year. The music festival spans across porches on Griffith Avenue, from Frederica Street to Robin Road.
