UPDATE (Thursday, 11 a.m.): Registration is full.
Registration Registration is now open for the drive-thru testing that will be offered next week by the Green River District Health Department.
To schedule an appointment, visit the GRDHD website healthdepartment.org and follow the COVID-19 test prompts. Testing times are available Tuesday-Thursday from 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m.
GRDHD will take over the current drive-thru testing setup being run by Kroger Health at Owensboro Community & Technical College next week. The tents and infrastructure will remain in place next week, but the Health Department will step in to staff and administer the testing.
Testing is free, but there is limited availability and those seeking a test must be pre-registered.
Anyone who is sick, experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 — including but not limited to a fever, cough, and shortness of breath or difficulty breathing — or having a medical emergency should call their healthcare provider.
“We are happy to have been given the opportunity to help expand testing resources in our community,” said GRDHD Director Clay Horton. “This is just one more piece to fulfilling our testing needs. We are thankful of all the help and support we get from our partners in the healthcare sector who are also continuing to provide COVID-19 testing for our community as well.”
