Kentucky State Police troopers arrested two women on drug and child abuse charges after executing a search warrant at a residence in the 3200 block of Wandering Lane around 5 p.m. Friday.
According to a release, troopers located several grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine packaged in individual baggies, Oxycodone, and various drug paraphernalia. One package of suspected methamphetamine was located on the floor where a 2-year-old child stays.
Kelley Clark, 24, of Owensboro, was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth); first-degree possession of a controlled substance (opiates); trafficking a controlled substance (meth); second-degree criminal abuse of a child under the age of 12; endangering the welfare of a minor; illegal possession of a legend drug; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Patty E. Clark, 64, of Owensboro, was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth); first-degree possession of a controlled substance (opiates); trafficking a controlled substance (meth); second-degree criminal abuse of a child under the age of 12; endangering the welfare of a minor; illegal possession of a legend drug; possession of drug paraphernalia; and resisting arrest.
Both women were transported and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
Kentucky Department of Community Based Services assisted troopers on-scene. The 2-year old child, who was in the residence, is now in their custody.
