A total of 11 more cases of COVID-19 and 12 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Wednesday for the Green River District.
New cases were in Daviess (5), Hancock (1) and Henderson (5) counties. Recoveries were in Daviess (3), Henderson (5), Ohio (4) counties.
Of the 789 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 696 (88%) have now recovered and 88 (11%) have required hospitalization. There is one patient currently hospitalized, and there have been 12 deaths — seven in Daviess County, four in Henderson County, and one in McLean County.
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 360 cases, 327 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 34 ever hospitalized, 7 deaths
- Hancock County – 13 cases, 8 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 1 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 147 cases, 118 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 29 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- McLean County – 26 cases, 25 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 4 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 188 cases, 168 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 11 ever hospitalized
- Union County – 19 cases, 15 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 2 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 36 cases, 35 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 7 ever hospitalized
Patients range in age from 7 months-93 years old, with an average age of 42. To date, 53.1% of patients have been male and 46.9% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 2 cases
- 1-11 — 16 cases
- 12-19 — 42 cases
- 20-29 — 140 cases
- 30-39 — 173 cases
- 40-49 — 170 cases
- 50-59 — 109 cases
- 60-69 — 77 cases
- 70-79 — 33 cases
- 80+ — 23 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
