A total of four more cases of COVID-19 and nine recoveries from the virus were confirmed Wednesday for the Green River District.
New cases were in Daviess (2), Ohio (1) and Webster (1) counties. Recoveries were in Daviess (2), Henderson (5), Union (1) and Webster (1) counties.
Of the 846 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 749 (88%) have now recovered and 97 (11%) have required hospitalization. There are four patients currently hospitalized, and there have been 12 deaths — seven in Daviess County, four in Henderson County, and one in McLean County.
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 396 cases, 349 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 41 ever hospitalized, 7 deaths
- Hancock County – 15 cases, 13 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 1 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 155 cases, 133 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 30 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- McLean County – 26 cases, 25 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 4 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 192 cases, 174 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 11 ever hospitalized
- Union County – 23 cases, 19 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 2 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 39 cases, 36 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 8 ever hospitalized
Patients range in age from 7 months-93 years old, with an average age of 42. To date, 52.1% of patients have been male and 47.9% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 2 cases
- 1-11 — 16 cases
- 12-19 — 46 cases
- 20-29 — 152 cases
- 30-39 — 189 cases
- 40-49 — 180 cases
- 50-59 — 115 cases
- 60-69 — 81 cases
- 70-79 — 37 cases
- 80+ — 24 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
