Guests whose trip to Holiday World gets rained out won’t be totally out of luck this year, as the park is introducing a “Worry-Free Weather Guarantee” for the 2020 season.

If Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari rides are down for a total of two or more hours due to the weather, the guarantee is activated and the date will be posted on HolidayWorld.com/worryfree/.

Guests will need to keep some form of their tickets from their visit — either the original ticket, a picture of the ticket, or a screenshot of their digital ticket — in case the guarantee gets activated. They will need to bring the photos or original tickets with them on whatever day they pick to return.

“After an abnormally rainy June last year, we wanted to do more for our guests who had picked stormy weather days through no fault of their own,” said park President Matt Eckert. “We don’t get to pick rainy days, but neither do our guests. Rain or shine, every day should be a worry-free day to visit Holiday World.”

As part of their phased reopening plan, officials plan to open Holiday World’s dry park to the public June 17 with 50% capacity, then open Splashin’ Safari no later than July 4.

Guests will also be asked to use inLine Reservation System, Holiday World’s new virtual queuing system. To limit crowding, guests enter the queue from their smartphone, then return and wait just 5-15 minutes in a physical line. Those who don’t have smartphones or choose not to use them will be able to use a barcoded wristband.

The park will also be making other smaller changes to their operations including heavily increasing sanitizing stations and procedures.
