A total of 24 more cases of COVID-19 and 26 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Monday for the Green River District. The numbers reflect a three-day period since the last report on cases.
New cases were in Daviess (5), Henderson (4), Ohio (11), Union (1) and Webster (3) counties. Recoveries were in Daviess (11), Hancock (2), Henderson (4), Ohio (7), Union (1) and Webster (1) counties.
Of the 952 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 833 (88%) have now recovered and 102 (11%) have required hospitalization. There are eight patients currently hospitalized, and there have been 12 deaths — seven in Daviess County, four in Henderson County, and one in McLean County.
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 440 cases, 389 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 44 ever hospitalized, 7 deaths
- Hancock County – 19 cases, 17 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 1 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 174 cases, 151 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 30 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- McLean County – 28 cases, 25 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 4 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 219 cases, 186 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 13 ever hospitalized
- Union County – 27 cases, 26 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 2 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 45 cases, 39 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 8 ever hospitalized
Patients range in age from 7 months-93 years old, with an average age of 42. To date, 51.2% of patients have been male and 48.8% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 2 cases
- 1-11 — 18 cases
- 12-19 — 52 cases
- 20-29 — 182 cases
- 30-39 — 208 cases
- 40-49 — 198 cases
- 50-59 — 122 cases
- 60-69 — 90 cases
- 70-79 — 48 cases
- 80+ — 28 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
