A total of 33 more cases of COVID-19 and 13 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Friday for the Green River District.
New cases were in Daviess (13), Hancock (2), Henderson (8), McLean (1), Ohio (8) and Union (1) counties. Recoveries were in Daviess (7), Hancock (1), Henderson (1) and Ohio (4) counties.
Of the 1,051 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 880 (84%) have now recovered and 109 (10%) have required hospitalization. There are 14 patients currently hospitalized, and there have been 12 deaths — seven in Daviess County, four in Henderson County, and one in McLean County.
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 484 cases, 414 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 46 ever hospitalized, 7 deaths
- Hancock County – 24 cases, 18 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 3 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 202 cases, 162 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 30 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- McLean County – 29 cases, 25 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 4 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 232 cases, 195 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 16 ever hospitalized
- Union County – 28 cases, 26 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 2 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 52 cases, 40 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 8 ever hospitalized
Patients range in age from 7 months-93 years old, with an average age of 42. To date, 50.5% of patients have been male and 49.5% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 2 cases
- 1-11 — 24 cases
- 12-19 — 58 cases
- 20-29 — 201 cases
- 30-39 — 223 cases
- 40-49 — 214 cases
- 50-59 — 136 cases
- 60-69 — 105 cases
- 70-79 — 54 cases
- 80+ — 30 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
