A total of 28 more cases of COVID-19 and 14 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Tuesday for the Green River District. The ninth coronavirus-related death in Daviess County was also reported.
New cases were in Daviess (16), Henderson (5), Ohio (6) and Webster (1) counties.
Recoveries were in Daviess (16), Hancock (1), Henderson (14), McLean (2), Ohio (2), Union (2) and Webster (1) counties.
Of the 1,883 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 1,611 (86%) have now recovered and 167 (9%) have required hospitalization. There are 15 patients currently hospitalized, and there have been 24 deaths — Daviess County (9), Ohio County (9), Henderson County (4), McLean County (1), and Webster County (1).
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 847 cases, 726 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 71 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
- Hancock County – 48 cases, 45 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 4 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 387 cases, 316 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 40 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- McLean County – 51 cases, 44 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 382 cases, 337 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 28 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
- Union County – 71 cases, 59 recovered, 2 current hospitalization, 5 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 98 cases, 84 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 13 ever hospitalized, 1 death
Patients range in age from 7 months-95 years old, with an average age of 42. To date, 48.7% of patients have been male and 51.3% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 5 cases
- 1-11 — 51 cases
- 12-19 — 142 cases
- 20-29 — 366 cases
- 30-39 — 352 cases
- 40-49 — 336 cases
- 50-59 — 260 cases
- 60-69 — 194 cases
- 70-79 — 109 cases
- 80+ — 64 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
