A total of 18 more cases of COVID-19 and eight recoveries from the virus were confirmed Thursday for the Green River District.
New cases were in Daviess (13), Hancock (1), Henderson (3) and Webster (1) counties.
Recoveries were in Daviess (7) and Henderson (1) counties.
Of the 1,780 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 1,524 (86%) have now recovered and 159 (9%) have required hospitalization. There are 11 patients currently hospitalized, and there have been 23 deaths — Daviess County (8), Ohio County (9), Henderson County (4), McLean County (1), and Webster County (1).
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 799 cases, 689 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 68 ever hospitalized, 8 deaths
- Hancock County – 47 cases, 42 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 3 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 357 cases, 291 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 39 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- McLean County – 47 cases, 41 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 370 cases, 330 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 27 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
- Union County – 67 cases, 54 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 3 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 93 cases, 77 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 13 ever hospitalized, 1 death
Patients range in age from 7 months-95 years old, with an average age of 42. To date, 49.2% of patients have been male and 50.8% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 4 cases
- 1-11 — 48 cases
- 12-19 — 120 cases
- 20-29 — 347 cases
- 30-39 — 335 cases
- 40-49 — 323 cases
- 50-59 — 248 cases
- 60-69 — 184 cases
- 70-79 — 104 cases
- 80+ — 63 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
