COVID-19 update: 21 cases, 17 recoveries reported for district

A total of 21 more cases of COVID-19 and 17 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Wednesday for the Green River District.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (11), Hancock (1), Henderson (3), Ohio (4), Union (1), Webster (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (7), Henderson (6), McLean (1), Ohio (1), Union (1), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 1,904. 
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 1,628 (86 %)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 14
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 168 (9%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 24

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 858 cases, 733 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 71 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Hancock County – 49 cases, 45 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 4 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 390 cases, 322 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 41 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • McLean County – 51 cases, 45 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 386 cases, 338 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 28 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 72 cases, 60 recovered, 2 current hospitalization, 5 ever hospitalized
  • Webster County – 98 cases, 85 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 13 ever hospitalized, 1 death

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 7 months-95 years old
  • Average age: 42
  • Male: 48.7%
  • Female: 51.3%

  • <1 — 5 cases
  • 1-11 — 51 cases
  • 12-19 — 146 cases
  • 20-29 — 369 cases
  • 30-39 — 357 cases
  • 40-49 — 340 cases
  • 50-59 — 262 cases
  • 60-69 — 196 cases
  • 70-79 — 110 cases
  • 80+ — 64 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
