COVID-19 update: 1 death, 57 cases, 32 recoveries reported for district

A total of 57 more cases of COVID-19 and 32 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Tuesday for the Green River District. One death was also reported for Henderson County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (11), Hancock (2) Henderson (18), Ohio (6), Union (17), Webster (3)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (16), Henderson (7), McLean (1), Ohio (3), Union (4), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 3,267
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 2,690 (83%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 28
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 245 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 37

  • Daviess County – 1,370 cases, 1,178 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 99 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Hancock County – 75 cases, 63 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 6 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 758 cases, 590 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 58 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths
  • McLean County – 81 cases, 73 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 9 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 479 cases, 426 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 31 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 341 cases, 225 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Webster County – 163 cases, 135 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 2 months-100 years old
  • Average age: 43
  • Male: 46.8%
  • Female: 53.2%

  • <1 — 9 cases
  • 1-11 — 105 cases
  • 12-19 — 269 cases
  • 20-29 — 601 cases
  • 30-39 — 536 cases
  • 40-49 — 526 cases
  • 50-59 — 441 cases
  • 60-69 — 386 cases
  • 70-79 — 251 cases
  • 80+ — 140 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
