COVID-19 update: 61 cases, 26 recoveries reported for district

A total of 61 more cases of COVID-19 and 26 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Monday for the Green River District. The numbers reflect a two-day period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (22), Hancock (1) Henderson (25), McLean (1), Ohio (8), Union (4)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (11), Henderson (6), McLean (1), Ohio (2), Union (5), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 3,210
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 2,658 (83%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 21
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 238 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 36

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,359 cases, 1,162 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 96 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Hancock County – 73 cases, 63 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 740 cases, 583 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 56 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • McLean County – 81 cases, 72 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 9 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 473 cases, 423 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 31 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 324 cases, 221 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Webster County – 160 cases, 134 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 2 months-100 years old
  • Average age: 43
  • Male: 46.9%
  • Female: 53.1%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 9 cases
  • 1-11 — 103 cases
  • 12-19 — 264 cases
  • 20-29 — 594 cases
  • 30-39 — 531 cases
  • 40-49 — 521 cases
  • 50-59 — 433 cases
  • 60-69 — 379 cases
  • 70-79 — 242 cases
  • 80+ — 131 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
