COVID-19 update: 1 death, 71 cases, 49 recoveries reported for district

A total of 71 more cases of COVID-19 and 49 recoveries were confirmed Saturday for the Green River District. Another coronavirus-related death was also reported in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (29), Hancock (5), Henderson (23), McLean (3), Ohio (4), Union (4), Webster (3)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (23), Hancock (4), Henderson (7), McLean (6), Ohio (3), Union (5), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 5,269
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 4,385 (83%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 29
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 376 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 96

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,037 cases, 1,747 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 140 ever hospitalized, 32 deaths
  • Hancock County – 157 cases, 104 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 9 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,355 cases, 1,096 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 105 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 228 cases, 151 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 19 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • Ohio County – 642 cases, 555 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 45 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Union County – 522 cases, 463 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 328 cases, 269 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 23 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.9%
  • Female: 55.1%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 19 cases
  • 1-11 — 149 cases
  • 12-19 — 426 cases
  • 20-29 — 912 cases
  • 30-39 — 815 cases
  • 40-49 — 805 cases
  • 50-59 — 735 cases
  • 60-69 — 661 cases
  • 70-79 — 433 cases
  • 80+ — 310 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
