COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 55 cases, 61 recoveries reported for district

A total of 55 more cases of COVID-19 and 61 recoveries were confirmed Tuesday for the Green River District. Coronavirus-related deaths were also reported in Henderson (1) and Ohio (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (19), Hancock (3), Henderson (10), McLean (3), Ohio (13), Union (1), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (14), Hancock (3), Henderson (21), McLean (7), Ohio (7), Union (6), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 4,985
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 4,161 (83%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 29
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 360 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 87

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,932 cases, 1,674 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 137 ever hospitalized, 29 deaths
  • Hancock County – 138 cases, 99 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 8 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,283 cases, 1,029 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 101 ever hospitalized, 32 deaths
  • McLean County – 201 cases, 126 recovered, 3 current hospitalization2, 15 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Ohio County – 622 cases, 539 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 42 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Union County – 503 cases, 442 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 35 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 306 cases, 252 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45%
  • Female: 55%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 18 cases
  • 1-11 — 139 cases
  • 12-19 — 399 cases
  • 20-29 — 858 cases
  • 30-39 — 778 cases
  • 40-49 — 763 cases
  • 50-59 — 692 cases
  • 60-69 — 631 cases
  • 70-79 — 411 cases
  • 80+ — 292 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
