COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 59 cases, 51 recoveries reported for district

A total of 59 more cases of COVID-19 and 51 recoveries were confirmed Thursday for the Green River District. One coronavirus-related death each was also reported in Union and Webster counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (10), Hancock (3), Henderson (21), McLean (3), Ohio (9), Union (10), Webster (3)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (14), Hancock (2), Henderson (17), McLean (1), Ohio (5), Union (6), Webster (6)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 4,316
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 3,440 (80%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 35
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 322 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 69

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,706 cases, 1,455 recovered, 13 current hospitalizations, 124 ever hospitalized, 24 deaths
  • Hancock County – 103 cases, 81 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 7 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Henderson County – 1,125 cases, 784 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 87 ever hospitalized, 22 deaths
  • McLean County – 119 cases, 91 recovered, 2 current hospitalization2, 13 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths
  • Ohio County – 560 cases, 467 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 38 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 445 cases, 361 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 32 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 258 cases, 201 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.5%
  • Female: 54.5%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 16 cases
  • 1-11 — 125 cases
  • 12-19 — 346 cases
  • 20-29 — 732 cases
  • 30-39 — 688 cases
  • 40-49 — 664 cases
  • 50-59 — 598 cases
  • 60-69 — 547 cases
  • 70-79 — 346 cases
  • 80+ — 249 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
