COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 64 cases, 42 recoveries reported for district

A total of 64 more cases of COVID-19 and 42 recoveries were confirmed Friday for the Green River District. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported for Daviess (1) and Henderson (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (30), Henderson (17), McLean (10), Ohio (5), Union (2)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (14), Henderson (14), McLean (2), Ohio (6), Union (6)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 4,765
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 3,973 (83%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 39
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 350 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 84

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,850 cases, 1,626 recovered, 13 current hospitalizations, 131 ever hospitalized, 29 deaths
  • Hancock County – 117 cases, 93 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 7 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,243 cases, 968 recovered, 12 current hospitalizations, 99 ever hospitalized, 30 deaths
  • McLean County – 174 cases, 112 recovered, 3 current hospitalization2, 15 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Ohio County – 601 cases, 514 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 42 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 489 cases, 422 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 34 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 291 cases, 238 recovered, 2 current hospitalization, 22 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.4%
  • Female: 54.6%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 16 cases
  • 1-11 — 138 cases
  • 12-19 — 374 cases
  • 20-29 — 828 cases
  • 30-39 — 755 cases
  • 40-49 — 732 cases
  • 50-59 — 670 cases
  • 60-69 — 600 cases
  • 70-79 — 384 cases
  • 80+ — 264 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
