COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 65 cases, 46 recoveries reported for district

A total of 65 more cases of COVID-19 and 46 recoveries were confirmed Thursday for the Green River District. Coronavirus-related deaths were also reported in Daviess (1) and McLean (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (16), Hancock (6), Henderson (10), McLean (12), Ohio (6), Union (4), Webster (11)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (14), Henderson (15), McLean (6), Ohio (3), Union (3), Webster (5)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 5,124
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 4,304 (84%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 25
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 369 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 91

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,978 cases, 1,709 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 139 ever hospitalized, 30 deaths
  • Hancock County – 146 cases, 100 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 8 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,314 cases, 1,085 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 102 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • McLean County – 223 cases, 141 recovered, 6 current hospitalization2, 19 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • Ohio County – 630 cases, 548 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 43 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Union County – 513 cases, 456 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 320 cases, 265 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 23 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.9%
  • Female: 55.1%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 18 cases
  • 1-11 — 144 cases
  • 12-19 — 411 cases
  • 20-29 — 887 cases
  • 30-39 — 799 cases
  • 40-49 — 780 cases
  • 50-59 — 711 cases
  • 60-69 — 649 cases
  • 70-79 — 423 cases
  • 80+ — 298 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
