COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 74 cases, 97 recoveries reported for district

A total of 74 more cases of COVID-19 and 97 recoveries were confirmed Wednesday for the Green River District. Two more coronavirus-related deaths were also reported in Henderson County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (30), Hancock (2), Henderson (21), McLean (10), Ohio (2), Union (6), Webster (3)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (21), Hancock (1), Henderson (41), McLean (9), Ohio (6), Union (11), Webster (8)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 5,059
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 4,258 (83%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 28
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 369 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 89

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,962 cases, 1,695 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 139 ever hospitalized, 29 deaths
  • Hancock County – 140 cases, 100 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 8 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,304 cases, 1,070 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 102 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • McLean County – 211 cases, 135 recovered, 7 current hospitalization2, 19 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Ohio County – 624 cases, 545 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 43 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Union County – 509 cases, 453 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 309 cases, 260 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 23 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.9%
  • Female: 55.1%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 18 cases
  • 1-11 — 141 cases
  • 12-19 — 408 cases
  • 20-29 — 875 cases
  • 30-39 — 792 cases
  • 40-49 — 769 cases
  • 50-59 — 699 cases
  • 60-69 — 641 cases
  • 70-79 — 419 cases
  • 80+ — 293 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
