COVID-19 update: 4 deaths, 74 cases, 32 recoveries reported for district

A total of 74 more cases of COVID-19 and 32 recoveries were confirmed Friday for the Green River District. Coronavirus-related deaths were also reported in Daviess (1), Hancock (1) and Henderson (2) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (30), Hancock (6), Henderson (18), McLean (2), Ohio (8), Union (5), Webster (5)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (15), Henderson (4), McLean (4), Ohio (4), Union (2), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 5,198
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 4,336 (84%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 25
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 371 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 95

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,008 cases, 1,724 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 138 ever hospitalized, 31 deaths
  • Hancock County – 152 cases, 100 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 9 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,332 cases, 1,089 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 102 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 225 cases, 145 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 19 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • Ohio County – 638 cases, 552 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 45 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Union County – 518 cases, 458 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 325 cases, 268 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 23 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.8%
  • Female: 55.2%

  • <1 — 18 cases
  • 1-11 — 146 cases
  • 12-19 — 420 cases
  • 20-29 — 899 cases
  • 30-39 — 806 cases
  • 40-49 — 796 cases
  • 50-59 — 724 cases
  • 60-69 — 654 cases
  • 70-79 — 427 cases
  • 80+ — 304 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
