COVID-19 update: 68 cases, 78 recoveries reported for district

A total of 68 more cases of COVID-19 and 78 recoveries were confirmed Monday for the Green River District. The numbers reflect a two-day period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (22), Hancock (1), Henderson (19), McLean (8), Ohio (2), Union (11), Webster (5)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (33), Hancock (4), Henderson (19), McLean (2), Ohio (8), Union (8), Webster (4)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 4,522
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 3,661 (81%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 36
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 331 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 74

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,765 cases, 1,544 recovered, 14 current hospitalizations, 125 ever hospitalized, 26 deaths
  • Hancock County – 106 cases, 87 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 7 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Henderson County – 1,186 cases, 842 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 92 ever hospitalized, 24 deaths
  • McLean County – 139 cases, 99 recovered, 2 current hospitalization2, 14 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Ohio County – 574 cases, 485 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 38 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 476 cases, 384 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 34 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 276 cases, 220 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.4%
  • Female: 54.6%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 16 cases
  • 1-11 — 133 cases
  • 12-19 — 352 cases
  • 20-29 — 776 cases
  • 30-39 — 723 cases
  • 40-49 — 693 cases
  • 50-59 — 631 cases
  • 60-69 — 571 cases
  • 70-79 — 367 cases
  • 80+ — 254 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
