COVID-19 update: 84 cases, 99 recoveries reported for district

A total of 84 more cases of COVID-19 and 99 recoveries were confirmed Friday for the Green River District.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (23), Henderson (32), McLean (6), Ohio (3), Union (11), Webster (9)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (45), Hancock (1), Henderson (27), McLean (4), Ohio (7), Union (7), Webster (8)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 4,400
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 3,539 (80%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 36
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 324 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 69

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,729 cases, 1,500 recovered, 14 current hospitalizations, 124 ever hospitalized, 24 deaths
  • Hancock County – 103 cases, 82 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 7 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Henderson County – 1,157 cases, 811 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 88 ever hospitalized, 22 deaths
  • McLean County – 125 cases, 95 recovered, 2 current hospitalization2, 13 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths
  • Ohio County – 563 cases, 474 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 38 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 456 cases, 368 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 33 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 276 cases, 209 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.4%
  • Female: 54.6%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 16 cases
  • 1-11 — 128 cases
  • 12-19 — 346 cases
  • 20-29 — 747 cases
  • 30-39 — 708 cases
  • 40-49 — 680 cases
  • 50-59 — 611 cases
  • 60-69 — 555 cases
  • 70-79 — 352 cases
  • 80+ — 250 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
