Following its recent rebranding, The Green River Distilling Company has been featured in “The Bourbon Review,” one of the most popular whiskey-themed publications in the world. The publication called the distillery a “long weekend bourbon escape.”

The Bourbon Review’s newsletter details The Green River Distilling Company’s rebirth in returning to its original location, which originated in the 1800s.

The newsletter also details several local attractions that readers should check out while visiting Owensboro, including the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Smothers Park, Old Hickory Bar-B-Q, The Miller House and J’s Liquor.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled that The Bourbon Review thinks so highly of Owensboro for those seeking a bourbon-themed weekend trip,” said Dave Kirk, Destination Manager for Visit Owensboro. “The Bourbon Review is perhaps the most respected bourbon-themed publication in the world.”

Kirk said The Bourbon Review’s reach stretches far and wide. With The Green River Distilling Co. article made available through the company’s print publication, mailing list, web presence and social media accounts, Kirk called the impact “immense.”

“They have 123,000 followers on just Instagram alone,” he said.
