Owensboro Times is hosting a live Virtual Town Hall on Tuesday with the candidates in Owensboro’s mayoral and city commission races ahead of the Nov. 3 General Election.
The OT Virtual Town Hall presented by Castlen Steel and Daniel Dick – State Farm Insurance Agent will be held at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum. OT has partnered with Tanner+West to produce the live streams.
The event will be broadcast live on the OT Facebook page in three segments throughout the day. The candidates for city commission will be divided into two groups that will make up the first two segments, while the four mayoral candidates will participate in the evening segment.
The segments will be as follows:
- 1 p.m. — City Commission candidates Mark Castlen, Jeff Sanford, Jared Revlett, Michael Walker, Deanna Endicott-Smith, Bill Moss, Andy Gamblin, Bob Glenn

City commission candidate Joseph Martin did not respond to the Town Hall invitation. Candidates were given their first choice for which segment they want to participate in.
Candidates’ placement on stage will be determined by random draw on the day of the event.
Candidates were given topics ahead of time, but specific questions will be asked for the first time during the event. Questions will be sealed and drawn randomly during the event.
Topics will include Economy, Growth/development, Leadership, Social issues, and Essential services.
Residents of Owensboro are also invited to submit questions that may be asked during the event. Questions may be submitted here ahead of the event, or they can be submitted via Facebook during the live streams.
Moderating the event will be Travis Chaney and Drew Watson, business partners at Dynamic Directions and Align Wealth Management – a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC. Chaney is also a co-founder of OT.
Due to current guidelines, the public will not be able to attend the Virtual Town Hall in person.
OT is also publishing an Election Guide on Tuesday to accompany the Town Hall. It will include brief biographies and platforms by mayoral and city commission candidates.
