COVID-19 update: 1 death, 156 cases, 82 recoveries reported for district

A total of 156 more cases of COVID-19 and 71 recoveries were confirmed Friday for the Green River District. A coronavirus-related death was reported in Ohio County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (60), Hancock (6), Henderson (33), McLean (14), Ohio (14), Union (15), Webster (14)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (33), Hancock (6), Henderson (21), McLean (10), Ohio (3), Union (4), Webster (5)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 6,494
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 5,092 (78%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 36
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 431 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 108

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,548 cases, 2,029 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 156 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • Hancock County – 213 cases, 144 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 13 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,648 cases, 1,276 recovered, 13 current hospitalizations, 121 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 302 cases, 214 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 24 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Ohio County – 764 cases, 610 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 53 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Union County – 596 cases, 501 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 36 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 423 cases, 318 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 28 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.1%
  • Female: 54.9%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 23 cases
  • 1-11 — 193 cases
  • 12-19 — 519 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,093 cases
  • 30-39 — 999 cases
  • 40-49 — 999 cases
  • 50-59 — 921 cases
  • 60-69 — 821 cases
  • 70-79 — 526 cases
  • 80+ — 395 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
