COVID-19 update: 115 cases, 75 recoveries reported for district

A total of 115 more cases of COVID-19 and 75 recoveries were confirmed Monday for the Green River District. The numbers reflect a two-day reporting period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (62), Hancock (6), Henderson (20), McLean (8), Ohio (8), Union (5), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (20), Hancock (3), Henderson (22), McLean (6), Ohio (10), Union (3), Webster (11)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 5,942
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 4,758 (80%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 27
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 402 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 105

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,333 cases, 1,897 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 150 ever hospitalized, 33 deaths
  • Hancock County – 181 cases, 123 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 10 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,529 cases, 1,186 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 110 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 270 cases, 181 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 8 deaths
  • Ohio County – 693 cases, 586 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 50 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Union County – 554 cases, 484 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 382 cases, 301 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 27 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.1%
  • Female: 54.9%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 22 cases
  • 1-11 — 177 cases
  • 12-19 — 469 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,006 cases
  • 30-39 — 920 cases
  • 40-49 — 912 cases
  • 50-59 — 835 cases
  • 60-69 — 746 cases
  • 70-79 — 497 cases
  • 80+ — 353 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
