COVID-19 update: 137 cases, 77 recoveries reported for district

A total of 137 more cases of COVID-19 and 77 recoveries were confirmed Friday for the Green River District, including 92 cases and 40 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (92), Hancock (7), Henderson (12), McLean (5), Ohio (14), Union (5), Webster (2)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (40), Henderson (15), McLean (2), Ohio (11), Union (7), Webster (2)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 7,286
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 5,700 (78%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 54
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 476 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 126

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,903 cases, 2,279 recovered, 18 current hospitalizations, 177 ever hospitalized, 41 deaths
  • Hancock County – 258 cases, 170 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 15 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,795 cases, 1,423 recovered, 16 current hospitalizations, 129 ever hospitalized, 37 deaths
  • McLean County – 343 cases, 242 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 26 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Ohio County – 840 cases, 679 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 60 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Union County – 660 cases, 548 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 37 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 487 cases, 359 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 32 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.8%
  • Female: 55.2%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 24 cases
  • 1-11 — 222 cases
  • 12-19 — 590 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,218 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,122 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,107 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,040 cases
  • 60-69 — 919 cases
  • 70-79 — 597 cases
  • 80+ — 441 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
