COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 109 cases, 58 recoveries reported for district

A total of 109 more cases of COVID-19 and 58 recoveries were confirmed Saturday for the Green River District. Coronavirus-related deaths were also reported in Daviess (1) and McLean (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (44), Hancock (1), Henderson (33), McLean (7), Ohio (14), Union (5), Webster (5)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (31), Hancock (3), Henderson (8), McLean (4), Ohio (2), Union (5), Webster (5)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 5,827
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 4,683 (80%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 26
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 401 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 105

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,271 cases, 1,877 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 150 ever hospitalized, 33 deaths
  • Hancock County – 175 cases, 120 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 10 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,509 cases, 1,164 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 110 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 262 cases, 175 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 8 deaths
  • Ohio County – 685 cases, 576 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 49 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Union County – 549 cases, 481 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 376 cases, 290 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 27 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.9%
  • Female: 55.1%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 22 cases
  • 1-11 — 173 cases
  • 12-19 — 461 cases
  • 20-29 — 990 cases
  • 30-39 — 902 cases
  • 40-49 — 891 cases
  • 50-59 — 819 cases
  • 60-69 — 726 cases
  • 70-79 — 487 cases
  • 80+ — 351 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
