COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 131 cases, 148 recoveries reported for district

A total of 131 more cases of COVID-19 and 148 recoveries were confirmed Monday for the Green River District, including 79 cases and 69 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in McLean (1) and Webster (1) counties. The numbers reflect a two-day period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (79), Hancock (3), Henderson (23), McLean (3), Ohio (8), Union (7), Webster (8)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (69), Hancock (11), Henderson (26), McLean (9), Ohio (7), Union (10), Webster (16)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 7,558
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 5,943 (79%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 55
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 485 (6%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 129

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 3,027 cases, 2,390 recovered, 17 current hospitalizations, 181 ever hospitalized, 42 deaths
  • Hancock County – 268 cases, 192 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 16 ever hospitalized, 10 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,853 cases, 1,464 recovered, 14 current hospitalizations, 129 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 358 cases, 255 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 28 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Ohio County – 866 cases, 693 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 60 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Union County – 681 cases, 565 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 37 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 505 cases, 384 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 34 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.9%
  • Female: 55.1%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 24 cases
  • 1-11 — 232 cases
  • 12-19 — 620 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,261 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,161 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,149 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,085 cases
  • 60-69 — 952 cases
  • 70-79 — 621 cases
  • 80+ — 448 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
