COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 152 cases, 153 recoveries reported for district

A total of 152 more cases of COVID-19 and 153 recoveries were confirmed Wednesday for the Green River District, including 54 cases in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (1) and Hancock (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (54), Hancock (12), Henderson (33), McLean (11), Ohio (12), Union (21), Webster (9)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (51), Hancock (8), Henderson (42), McLean (6), Ohio (14), Union (16), Webster (16)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 7,021
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 5,552 (79%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 54
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 466 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 124

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,762 cases, 2,213 recovered, 19 current hospitalizations, 174 ever hospitalized, 40 deaths
  • Hancock County – 243 cases, 169 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 15 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,759 cases, 1,395 recovered, 16 current hospitalizations, 127 ever hospitalized, 37 deaths
  • McLean County – 334 cases, 229 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 26 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Ohio County – 813 cases, 655 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 57 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths
  • Union County – 643 cases, 539 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 37 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 467 cases, 352 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 30 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.8%
  • Female: 55.2%

  • <1 — 23 cases
  • 1-11 — 212 cases
  • 12-19 — 568 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,172 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,083 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,066 cases
  • 50-59 — 996 cases
  • 60-69 — 896 cases
  • 70-79 — 575 cases
  • 80+ — 426 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
