COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 194 cases, 233 recoveries reported for district

A total of 194 more cases of COVID-19 and 233 recoveries were announced Saturday — reflecting a three-day reporting period for the Green River District — including 80 cases and 85 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in McLean (1) and Webster (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (80), Hancock (7), Henderson (52), McLean (8), Ohio (34), Union (6), Webster (7)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (85), Hancock (12), Henderson (51), McLean (22), Ohio (30), Union (14), Webster (19)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 8,052
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 6,421 (80%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 53
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 504 (6%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 145

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 3,244 cases, 2,585 recovered, 17 current hospitalizations, 186 ever hospitalized, 48 deaths
  • Hancock County – 290 cases, 218 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 17 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,965 cases, 1,565 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 131 ever hospitalized, 39 deaths
  • McLean County – 378 cases, 286 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 29 ever hospitalized, 18 deaths
  • Ohio County – 953 cases, 739 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 67 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Union County – 693 cases, 602 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 39 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 529 cases, 426 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 7 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.8%
  • Female: 55.2%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 26 cases
  • 1-11 — 250 cases
  • 12-19 — 671 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,331 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,233 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,227 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,159 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,005 cases
  • 70-79 — 653 cases
  • 80+ — 490 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
